I am sure most of us here have picked up some self-help books from the bookstore. Amongst these books, most of us would have come across books focusing on the stories on a particular successful person or tips given by a person who has achieved success. Most of the time, these are also the bestsellers and the hot picks amongst readers.

“Why do we buy these books?”

Some buy these books because they idolize the subject person, others buy the books because they are curious how these people succeed. However, I believe a bulk of us buy these books in order to emulate their path to success.

In other words, most of us believe that by copying the strategies, attributes and attitude of these successful people, we can be successful too.

“Success is a journey, not a destination.”

This is so true. When we attempt to duplicate another successful person, we are actually trying to follow the path they have gone through in the hope of having the same results.

However, different people also have different journeys, so which one do we follow?

Therefore, I appeal to the readers out there who read these anecdotes of success to look beyond the journey and instead search for the characteristics or attributes that have made these people successful.

Now I would like to direct your attention to a phenomenon that can be found in your very own MLM company.

Have you ever noticed two or even more people that act very alike, talk alike and in some cases even think alike in the company?
Isn’t it strange that these people are also usually the high flyers in your company?

This is because for a MLM organization to be successful, there has to be the process of duplication so that the mistakes made by a pioneering person are not made again by his/her downlines.

In this way, precious time is saved and success can be achieved in a shorter time. As a result, it is no surprise to find “Twins”in the MLM business.

This article will examine some of the common personalities found among successful networkers.

1) Entrepreneurial Spirit

The need for a robust entrepreneurial sprit in order for one to be successful in the MLM business is obvious. This is simply because MLM is a business and not a day job. Often, newcomers have to deal with this tweaking of mindset from that of an employee to that of a boss.

Together with this change of mindset comes a change of expectations so that he/she can grapple with the setbacks commonly faced by any boss, even in traditional business, and not give up easily.

2) Initiative

When you enter into a MLM business, you are now a boss in charge of your own time and working pace. Thus, it becomes crucial that you develop a strong sense of initiative, taking action without being prompted instead of staying passive.

Initially, a newcomer in the MLM business might not be able to stay self motivated for very long because he is running on the adrenaline of hype and excitement from discovering an opportunity.

Hearing motivating stories of how others have overcomed tough times helps a newcomer stay motivated and focused on his/her dreams and goals.

However, it is vital that a networker learns to motivate himself as time goes by. Sometimes, whether one realizes his or her dreams just depends on how badly he or she wants it to come true.

Creativity here does not refer so much to the arty farty aspect. In a more accurate representation, it actually refers to the individual’s problem solving ability and how well he can come up with innovative alternatives.

A successful individual in a MLM business do not dwell on negativity when faced with obstacles by focusing on the problem, instead, he/she focuses on coming up with solutions and selecting the best out of the alternatives.

Duplication is a very important aspect of running a successful MLM organization. If you are a newcomer, start observing the high flyers in your company and learn from them!

Today is my first time to try out Go-Karting. I went with a group of my friends to our near by neighbour country, Malaysia to play.

When I reach there, I’m so excited and nervous. I have never drive the Go-Kart before. So I go around asking some of my friends who have tried it before. Different people I asked give different opinion.

One of them say “My both arms is very tiring after Go-Karting because the steering wheel is vibrating damn hard”.

One of them say “It’s very hard to turn and will crash easily to the road side because there’s no power-steering ability.”

One of them say “Bring extra clothes and do not wear white, as your shirt will be dirty and some petrol will splash on your shirt when go-karting.

One of them say “Wear jeans instead of bermudas for protective purposes so when crash, still can protect your legs”

When I hear so many opinion from my friends, all quite negative. And I don’t feel like Go-Karting already.

In my mind, I think “Since I never try it before, I must try it. If not, next time I have no chance to Go-Kart, I will regret. So heck… Just Do It!”

When I reach there. The picture that my friends build in my mind totally changed! At the race track, I seen people wearing bermudas to play. I even saw kids 4 to 5 year go-karting too!

This is not as dangerous as what I thought. haha.
So when I first get on the seat, and start driving. It’s damn easy! Just accelerate and brake.

At first for the 1st lap, I go very slowly and steady to get use to the driving pattern. After that I drive faster and faster. When I get too confident with the driving pattern, I pick up my speed and made a sharp turn to the right. I nearly crashed. But luckily I countered it and I did a 360 degree turn and made a halt center of the racing lane. LOL.

From there on, I began to slow down again. But I see my friends drive so fast. I also want to be like them and have fun. So heck.. I just carry on karting and pick up speed again. I did a lot of mistakes, spins and halt at the lane. I keep practising. After umpteen rounds of go-karting, I mastered the art of going fast and turn at a sharp turn. Now I don’t have the spinning problem already. I’m a getting more Pro now!

From there on, I Go-Kart with thrill and excitement and confidence!

By the way, driving the go-karting, the arms is not as tiring as what I thought. And not as dangerous as what many people say.

Conclusion after today Go-Karting experience which I can apply this in life.
In life, don’t just listen to what other people say and build up irrelevant beliefs in your mind. If you really like the things you do, just try and experience it yourself. Or else you will regret for not doing.

And beliefs are mend to be shaken. How? Just experience it yourself! And replaced the new powerful belief system in your mind. Replace your new relevant beliefs in your mind till you get the result you want.

Let the imagination run though your mind. Make it as realistic in your mind as possible. Make it as emotional as possible. Make it as descriptive like, what you smell, which sound you hear, what things you see.

After that, write down the vision on paper using the first person, pretense tense. “I now have …, I am now …, I am doing…, I am …, and so on.

Do not write negative sentence such as, “I am no longer poor, I am not work under my boss now”, instead, say “I am rich, I am a free and I’m the boss now”.

Make a commitment to read your visions twice a day. Once, when you wake up in the morning, and once before you going to sleep. Repeat this till you have achieve your vision.
